JAGUAR REVEALED THEmost luxurious and expensive version of its XJ saloon, the XJUltimate, at the Beijing show. Sister company Land Rover made a similar, high-luxury version of the Range Rover last year.
Only available in long-wheelbase form, the XJ Ultimate aims to improve the experience for rear-seat passengers with suspension tweaks for improved ride quality.
There are also new features like fully adjustable rear seats, a solid aluminium foldable table and a champagne chiller between the seats. Each rear passenger also gets their own iPad and keyboard, plus a TV screen with individual wireless headphones. Small styling tweaks differentiate the Ultimate from the regular XJs. The Ultimate will get Jag’s new supercharged 3.0-litre V6 petrol along with the existing engine options.
